Week 5: Monday

✉️ Dear Friend,

We have made it to Week Five! Here is my encouragement for you this week: Stay the course. Let the heart of God guide your heart. Let yourself feel the weight of forgiveness—the struggle, the surrender, and the freedom. Forgiveness is hard, but it is holy. Sometimes we are the only Jesus someone will ever see, and that includes how we extend grace. Be willing to let God move in your heart this week.

Forgiveness is deeply personal. It reaches into the wounds we carry, the offenses we’ve endured, and the guilt we sometimes refuse to release. It’s not easy, but it is necessary. Jesus calls us to forgive, just as He has forgiven us. This week, let’s be honest about the pain, the struggles, and the freedom that comes with truly letting go. Remember, sometimes we need to offer forgiveness not just to others, but to ourselves. There are moments in which we need to acknowledge that we haven’t always been the neighbor God calls us to be.

Before you begin week five, write down some of your thoughts when you hear the word forgiveness.

Monday

The Power of Forgiveness

📖 Scripture: “For if you forgive other people when they sin against you, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you do not forgive others their sins, your Father will not forgive your sins.” (Matthew 6:14-15, NIV)

❤️ Reflection:
Forgiveness is at the core of our faith. Jesus made it clear that the way we forgive others directly impacts our relationship with God. Holding onto bitterness doesn’t just hurt others—it keeps us bound in our own chains. Who is weighing on your heart today? Who do you need to release?

🔥 Challenge:
Write down the name of someone you need to forgive. Pray over it. Ask God to help you take the first step toward releasing the hurt. If you’re ready, reach out and extend grace today.
