Week 2: Monday
Week Two: The Heart of Compassion
✉️ Dear Friend,
I love this journey we’re on together! Last week, we focused on the foundation of loving God and loving others. This week, we dive deeper into what that love looks like—compassion in action. Jesus doesn’t call us to a passive faith but one that moves, sacrifices, and reaches beyond our comfort zones. Let’s learn from the Good Samaritan and Jesus Himself as we seek to live out a heart of compassion.
Monday
The Compassionate Samaritan
📖 Scripture: "But a Samaritan, as he traveled, came where the man was; and when he saw him, he took pity on him." (Luke 10:33, NIV)
❤️ Reflection:
The Samaritan had every reason to walk away. Cultural, racial, and social barriers made it easy to justify ignoring the wounded man. Yet, he didn’t hesitate. Compassion moved him beyond those barriers. Jesus calls us to do the same—to see people, not categories; to love, not judge. Who around you needs compassion today? Maybe it’s someone you’ve avoided or overlooked.
🔥 Challenge: Show kindness to someone outside your usual circle today. Be intentional. Let God stretch your heart. Don’t forget to pray for your neighbors!
